Cheeky
This is a poem I wrote 4 years ago. The message of it remains as true today as it was back then. Regardless of the people you meet in the world who hurt you, or try to put you down, or make you feel like you’re less than zero, you have to keep the torch you carry for yourself burning bright. You have to love you. If you can’t do that, then other people are going to have trouble loving...

Love on a Real Train - Click here! →
I LOVE the music in this clip from the movie “Risky Business”. The music is written by the band “Tangerine Dream”, and is called “Love on a Real Train”. This music is indicative of my mood now, and is companion to the journal entry I’ve written on comomnterry.com - 8/27/2011. Check it out!

Look That Way
Here we are again haunting
shared with all renown
Celebrations rise the glory
ride the wave but drown
Want to look that way
Want to look that way again
Here I am again watching
the path sorely missed
Waiting seems to stretch
still nothing helps it to persist
Over alas
Want to look that way again
Future is the past
Want to look that way again
In winds strands dancing...

Darkening of the Light Screenplay
I posted a link on my main blog, www.commonterry.com, where you can download and/or view a copy of the screenplay I wrote for a never to be completed Star Wars fanfilm called “Darkening of the Light”. We did shoot some footage, though, so at some point in the future I may post footage. For now, though, I hope that anyone who reads the screenplay enjoys it.
By the way - it is 60 pages...

Show me all your scars I think I’ve got that beat Wrapped in misdirection Blinded by deceit
Carry it always Consider it every day Another bruise on the soul Will not fade away
The ink is on the paper It cannot be erased Leave it there to fester It was born to waste

From the movie "Out of Sight"
Karen Sisco (Jennifer Lopez): "Well, does this make any sense to you?"
Jack Foley (George Clooney): "It doesn't have to; it's just something that happens. It's like... seeing someone for the first time. Like you could be passing on the street -- and...and you look at each other, and for a few seconds there's this kind of...uh...uh...recognition. Like you both know something. The next moment the person is gone, and...and it's too late to do anything about it. And you always remember it because it was there and you let it go. And you think to yourself, 'What if I had stopped...what if I had said something?' What if.... What if.... It may only happen a few times in your life."
Karen: "Or once."
Jack: "Or once."

Some awesome dialog from one one of the coolest scenes in any movie ever. If you don't own it, rent it. It's a great flick in an of itself, and this particular scene is nothing short of fantastic.
